You can do your best if you are the CEO of a multinational corporation whose actions influence millions of people, and you can do your best if you are a street cleaner in a village in Spain, whose actions only influence the few that live in that village. You can do your best if you are the nightly news anchor on an international news channel and you can do your best if you are the electrician's apprentice. By choosing to always doing our best we can feel pride in our accomplishment whether we are Gandhi or the person who washed Gandhi's clothes; whether we are JFK or the person who compiled his briefings on Eastern Europe; whether we are MLK or the person who prepared his food; whether we are J.K. Rowling or the person who served her coffee at the place she used to go to for writing long before she was well-known; whether we are John Lennon or the doorman at the Drake where he lived; whether we are a neuro-surgeon or the orderly who cleans up the operating theatre later.
Always choosing to do your best says much about you, and in the words of Helen Keller, when we do the best we can we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another.
How are you looking for miracles in your life?
