Buy a Book ... Rent a Book?

Hmm ... the Kindle never really appealed to me ... I like to hold a book in my hands too much, I lke to underline, I like to riffle though the pages, I like to go to the end and back to the middle, simply by flipping pages, so the Kindle was never on my wish list.

But now I read that amazon (of whom I am very fond ... I use their services not only in the USA, but also in the UK, France, and Germany), simply remotely removed (and stealthily, at that, because they did not say they were doing it) a book from Kindle owners' memory files. It was 1984, a somewhat ironic deletion, given the Big Brother tactics involved.

    I too love the feel of books...and will never ever give up my right to have them!
