The Inner Life of a Cell

As always, TED brings us fascinating talks. In this case, we are shown an incredible animation of the inner workings of our cells. The hundreds of thousands of micro-machines inside of each of the trillions of cells in each of our bodies, do some jaw-dropping work. Finally, it is so much easier to imagine what Bruce Lipton refers to when he talks about this micro-universe inside of our bodies.

In this video, medical animator David Bolinsky presents a stunning animation that shows the bustling life inside a cell.

"The Inner Life of a Cell," represents the leading edge of medical animation, in both its technical achievement and its focus on compelling, memorable action. Created as part of the BioVision initiative to help explain cellular processes to students at Harvard's Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, the clip has captured the imagination of the press -- and reportedly, of Hollywood.
