Value the Pressure in Your Life

Who were you before those difficult patches in your life? Perhaps more carefree, but also less strong. Who were you before you went through that divorce? Perhaps more innocent, but also less confident. Who were you before you lost your job? Perhaps you took everything for granted, but you were also less knowledgeable about just how much you were capable of doing. Who were you before that daunting diagnosis at the doctor's office? Perhaps less aware of the fragility of life, but also less appreciative of the marvel of life in all our everyday moments.

With all difficulty in our lives we always have choices. Certainly, the easiest one, the default one many of us might choose before having undergone some of the pressure, would be to say that we don't really 'need' (or wish for) problems. However, another choice is to understand and assimilate the old Thomas Carlyle adage: No pressure. No diamonds. If that becomes part of your internalized repertoire, you will not have any difficulty in looking at that next bump (or mountain) that appears in your path and realizing that it too will serve the process of polishing you - the you that will become that which you may be - to an even higher state of brilliance.

For much more about overcoming difficulty, about being present, about having a conscious relationship with yourself and living consciously, about being aware of your thoughts and feelings, and about how you love, respect and admire yourself, have a look at my book Rewiring the Soul: Finding the Possible Self, available at Amazon.

Reviews From Amazon:

"The Soul doesn't get sick but it does need nourishment; if not it seems as if our life starves to death. This wonderful book by Dr. Gabriella Kortsch is definitely healthy "Soul food". It becomes clear that as the personality endeavors to "rewire" the Soul, it is its own energy or conscious awareness that is elevated to that higher level where the invisible becomes visible and experienced as peace, joy, love and freedom. A treat to enjoy and celebrate."
ERIC ROLF; author, Soul Medicine: The Heart of Healing

"Rewiring the Soul is a thoughtful guide to the peace and joy that self-government through inner awareness brings. In the words of author Gabriella Kortsch, anyone's ideal 'possible human' becomes their actual reality by following the simple inner steps in this remarkable book."
JIM WAWRO; author, Ask Your Inner Voice

"This book is a gift to humanity, a valuable tool in aiding seekers to accomplish mastery of their own lives. Gabriella Kortsch provides clear steps to help people find peace in a practical and powerful way. She does not ask you to give up anything other then what no longer serves you. Brilliantly written!"
HILLARY RAIMO; Author & Radio Host

"I thought I could pick just one chapter to write a review, but I couldn't .... I was glued to the chair as I read Rewiring the Soul ... a literary, in-depth masterpiece to the human psyche, behavior and ultimate transformation. Exquisitely written, beautifully executed."
ALI R. RODRIGUEZ, Business Coach, co-author, Mastering the Art of Success
