Happiness: One Step at a Time


Michael Hanlon pens a great article in News.com.au titled The 10 Steps to Happiness, basing it on the works of several authors who have written about happiness:

The Happiness Hypothesis by psychologist Dr. Jonathan Haidt

Here are the ten steps:

  1. Count your blessings

  2. Simplify your life

  3. Avoid shopping

  4. Exercise

  5. Pleasure in simple tasks

  6. Set realistic goals

  7. Admit mistakes

  8. Avoid commuting

  9. Be traditional

  10. Don't try too hard
